What have you learned throughout your experience of working with RoofingSource?

I have learned that numbers are just the language a business uses to tell its story. Instead of just looking at spreadsheets I get a front row seat to how every decision from daily operations to big picture strategy translates into real world impact, growth, and problem solving.

How would you define RoofingSource’s working culture?

Leadership shares both successes and challenges openly, which helps every team member understand why decisions are made and how their individual roles contribute to the bigger picture. Contributions are regularly celebrated and continuous learning is encouraged. Employees have clear pathways to develop new skills and advance their careers.

The non-corporate environment here is a big deal to me. I feel like I make an impact every single day—something that’s rare in traditional office jobs. Instead of feeling stuck, I’m solving real problems, building useful tools, and working with an amazing team that’s always open to innovation.

Being the "IT guy," I get to be the go-to person for all things tech. Whether it’s troubleshooting hardware and software issues or building tools to simplify workflows, I love being helpful and improving people’s day-to-day experience.

Every day presents a new challenge and an opportunity to learn. I’ve grown more confident and capable in my role, and the trust my teammates place in me fuels my drive to keep improving.

Proudest Achievement

I’ve created dozens of custom scripts and features for our internal systems, to reduce manual work and improve accuracy. Some highlights include making time tracking simpler and more reliable, helping the team get real-time visibility on who’s where, connecting tools behind the scenes so information flows better, and cutting down on repetitive tasks so people can focus on what matters.

Being able to build tools that directly help our team work smarter—not harder—is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Desde que se unió a RoofingSource en el 2017, Rafa de Arecibo P.R., ha recorrido un camino impresionante: comenzó como Técnico en Techado y hoy lidera proyectos como Capataz de Producción, coordinando a su equipo y asegurando calidad en cada obra.

Since joining RoofingSource in 2017, Rafa (from Arecibo, P.R.) has come a remarkable way: he started as a Roofing Technician and today leads projects as a Production Foreman, coordinating his crew and guaranteeing quality on every job.

Fuera del trabajo, le encanta explorar nuevas rutas en su motocicleta, descubrir restaurantes, y disfrutar del mar con sus seres queridos.

Away from work he loves finding new routes on his motorcycle, discovering restaurants, and enjoying the sea with the people he loves.

Rafa keeps growing as a leader, with a solid crew around him and a genuine passion for continuing to learn and to back the people beside him.

Disfrutando de todos los aspectos del trabajo, Rafael dice: «Aunque el trabajo es duro, siempre estoy aprendiendo nuevas técnicas y también te envían a diferentes partes de los Estados Unidos.» Finalmente dice: «Si no te arriesgas, no ganas.»

Enjoying every part of the work, Rafael says: "Even though the work is hard, I am always learning new techniques, and they send you to different parts of the United States too." And finally: "If you do not take the risk, you do not win."

“What I love most is the opportunity to travel and see parts of the country I might never have experienced otherwise,” Marcus says. “There’s always something new to learn, and I’ve grown so much because of it.”

Marcus thrives on structure and support, both of which he’s found in abundance at RoofingSource. With strong guidance from his managers and steady backing from the office team, he’s been able to take on challenges, lead effectively, and continuously sharpen his skills.

Outside of work, Marcus is happiest outdoors whether hiking, kayaking, or spending time with his wife and kids. Those shared family moments, he says, keep him grounded.

He’s especially proud of being recognized for his strong work ethic and leadership. “That acknowledgment pushes me to keep giving 100%,” he says.

Marcus continues to lead with focus, integrity, and a drive to grow both personally and professionally at RoofingSource.

“Getting started with RoofingSource has been smooth,” Abraham shares. “From day one, I had the right tools, training, and support to succeed.”

Originally from Gadsden County, Abraham is passionate about spending time outdoors and hitting the golf course when he’s not on the job. He’s especially grateful for the balance his role allows giving him time to work hard and still enjoy moments with family.

While he’s just getting started, Abraham is determined to grow and make the most of his journey at RoofingSource. “I know I still have more to accomplish,” he says. “But I’m proud of how far I’ve come, especially learning to adapt to new challenges, like roofing in the cold!”

With the right foundation in place, Abraham is focused on leveling up his skills, growing as a leader, and continuing to build a future he’s proud of.
